Welcome to Bloom & Buttercream
A Little About Me
I'm Ashley, the owner of Bloom & Buttercream, a boutique home bakery in Brandon, Mississippi, specializing in handcrafted buttercream florals. I'm also a wife, a proud mom of two, and a paralegal by profession.
I've always been drawn to creative pursuits, particularly those that allow me to work with my hands. During COVID, I developed an interest in baking from scratch, which eventually led me down an Instagram rabbit hole of buttercream floral decorating videos. I was fascinated by the artistry and detail involved, and in 2024, I decided to try my hand at it. With almost no piping experience, I quickly discovered that creating those beautiful flowers was much harder than it looked. After an unsuccessful first attempt and a six-month break, I gave it another try. This time, I stuck with it, dedicating my evenings and weekends to learning and refining my skills.
In January 2025, I opened Bloom & Buttercream, and the experience since has exceeded anything I could have imagined. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a business with an incredible amount of community support. From returning customers to the thousands of people who have chosen to follow along as my work continues to evolve, the encouragement I've received has been both surprising and rewarding. There's something incredibly special about building something from the ground up and seeing others become just as excited about it as you are.
Outside of the bakery, I love traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with my family. I appreciate good food, new experiences, and making memories with the people I love most. That same appreciation for meaningful moments carries into my work. My goal has always been to create something beyond an ordinary gift. Something thoughtful, unexpected, and memorable enough to make the recipient feel truly special.
Today, Bloom & Buttercream remains a one-woman operation, and I'm personally involved in every aspect of the business. Building something with my own two hands has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. The support and opportunities that have come along in such a short time still surprise me, and I'm excited to see where this journey leads.
